Implementation methology

The project concerns the development of a Decision Support Model (DSM) designed to support producers in adapting to cross-compliance requirements while optimizing the economic efficiency of agricultural holdings. The implementation process is modular and multifaceted. The model is based on an existing framework developed by the Agricultural Informatics Laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), which has already been successfully applied in other regions of Greece. The system will be integrated into a web-based platform designed to be accessible, user-friendly, and easily manageable by producers.

At the same time, participating producers will receive training and support to become familiar with the platform. Each user will have a personal account through which they will be able to enter and manage their own farm data. The application will be continuously adapted according to user needs and feedback, including updates related to new CAP measures such as eco-schemes. The pilot implementation phase will include demonstration fields of 50 acres, followed by dissemination activities through seminars and workshops aimed at informing and engaging producers. The dissemination of results will continue through AUTH and Ergoplanning via a dedicated website that will be regularly updated.
